Can you relate?

As a first-generation college student entering pharmacy school, I was full of ambition. I was going to be the first doctor in my family, make them proud, and create a fulfilling life serving others. But I didn't know which direction would help me get there.

So I tried everything. Get perfect grades. Have a perfect CV. Trying to be involved in every organization. I kept my head down in my comfort zone, grinding away instead of putting myself out there and focusing on my growth. I said yes to anything that would build my CV and ignored what I was genuinely interested in. I got so busy that I was just going through the motions, never stopping to enjoy the experience. I even started to question if I was good enough and if pharmacy was right for me.

I pushed myself so hard that I spent an entire semester sick with a cold. Having a cold for three months was my body's way of saying something had to change.

That's when I realized working harder wasn't going to make me successful. Getting my priorities right would change everything.

When I started putting myself first, everything shifted:

  • I stopped letting grades define my worth

  • I was involved in things that excited me

  • I let go of perfectionism

  • I started sleeping more, eating nutritious meals, and moving my body

  • I became more efficient with my time

  • My grades improved

  • I found hobbies outside of school

  • I made connections that led to unique opportunities

  • I started enjoying pharmacy and life again

  • I discovered my purpose and passions

  • I regained my confidence and landed the perfect industry fellowship

  • Live sessions are 1 hour weekly on Thursdays starting at 7:30 pm ET.

    Set aside a few minutes daily to engage with the community and implement what you learn. The total commitment is about 1-2 hours per week - that's less than 20 minutes a day to invest in your growth. While I encourage attending live sessions for the best experience, replays are always available. Just be sure to schedule a specific time to watch them so you stay consistent with your progress. The key is making small, intentional steps forward each day.

  • Most organizations offer monthly webinars or meetings where you passively listen. Here, you'll learn practical skills and strategies AND have dedicated time to implement them. Plus, you'll have ongoing support from a community that gets it.

  • This community is designed for P1-P4 PharmD students based in the US.

    However, pre-pharmacy students and recent graduates may also find value in the sessions and resources. The earlier you start building confidence and clarity, the better positioned you'll be for success.

  • General membership ($39/month) gives you access to all live sessions, replays, the Action Hub community, and our resource library.

    VIP membership ($99/month) includes all the components of the general membership PLUS a monthly 60-minute strategy session, followed by a tailored action plan and a 2-week check-in to keep you on track.

    Members can book additional 30-minute 1:1 sessions ($60/session) when they need focused support.

About Your Mentor

Hey! I’m Libby Shelton, PharmD, RPh

I’m an industry pharmacist and advocate for the next generation of PharmDs. I'm passionate about helping pharmacy students transform their ambition into action while building meaningful connections along the way.

I know firsthand how overwhelming pharmacy school can feel because I've been there. As a first-generation student, I struggled with perfectionism, comparison, and self-doubt. I questioned if I was good enough if I belonged, and at times if pharmacy was even right for me.

Everything changed when I learned to put myself first and build a supportive community. This shift not only helped me enjoy pharmacy again but opened doors to unique opportunities I never thought possible. Today, I use these experiences and strategies to help pharmacy students skip the struggle and go straight to thriving.

In 2024, I was honored to be named one of the Most Influential Leaders in Pharmacy for my work supporting students and recent graduates. I'm committed to creating a supportive and fun environment where you can learn practical strategies, build lasting confidence, progress toward your goals, and develop meaningful connections that inspire success.
